COCONUT OIL FOR BABY SKIN

COCONUT OIL FOR BABY SKIN

Coconut oil for baby skin:

It goes without saying that your baby’s skin is very sensitive and you should avoid all artificial and toxic chemicals, All coconut oil is not the same and when you choose a coconut oil for your baby you need to make sure that you choose the right one!

The coconut oil for your baby needs to be:

100% Natural, preservative free and pure

If its organic, cold pressed and virgin even better

The coconut oil should be smelling sweet and white in colour when solid.

Double dipping is definitely a no no especially if you introduce moisture into the jar as a result, this could introduce mould into the jar and then to the baby. Quite the opposite to what you are trying to achive.

There are some rare skin types with allergies to coconut oil, we would definitely recommend you to try the coconut oil on small patch on a less sensitive area before wider use.

Uses for Coconut oil for babies:

Its great natural option for minor cuts, burns, insect bites and bruises

If your baby experiences dry skin on head or suffers from eczema this is one of the oldest remedies

Coconut oil is anti-bacterial and a comforting solution for nappy rash

If you are looking for a massage oil coconut oil is better than any other formulations out there

Use to sooth thrush

Of course the more traditional uses like for moisturising hair, saving chapped lips

Soothing gums while your baby is teething

You can use coconut oil around the nose if you suspect that you baby is suffering from pollen allergies

Pros for Coconut Oil:

Natural, preservative free & cost effective,

Natural antimicrobial and antifungal properties

Stains less and less messy compared to olive oil

It contains caprylic acid, which is said to be anti bacterial and anti fungal

Cons for coconut oil:

Check if your baby is allergic to coconut oil on a small patch of skin

Although coconut oil stains less than other plant based oils, coconut oil may stain your sheets. Baking soda is a great ally, apply for 30 minutes to the stained area before washing your sheets.

Check if your baby is allergic on a small patch

Cocofina produce a handy travel-size 10ml single serve sachet of organic, cold-pressed, virgin coconut oil.

This award winning which is sustainably processed is a healthy, medium chain fatty acid (MCFA). MCFA’s are easily digested, absorbed and utilised by the body in many different ways. Cocofina’s handy little sachet of oil is really versatile.

Rolling the sachet in the palm of the hand heats the oil which then becomes liquid and pourable.

New mothers are also finding this to be the perfect nappy rash cream and being rich in Lauric Acid, helps to increase Monolaurin production in breast milk which in turn can strengthen a baby’s immune system.

Travelling with coconut oil has always been a challenge. But the small sachet now means it is easier to take it with you when you are on the move and the use of proprietary technology keeps the oil fresher for longer with each sachet containing nitrogen to keep the oil in sterile conditions.

Well like the title suggests if you want baby soft skin you can try it too. If coconut oil is good enough for your baby its good for you too!
